Got the new LumiZone scope.

Post by schnarrfuss »

Went to the Bow Shop today cause I heard they got the new scope and bows in. Was holding both new bows and they feel real nice. Then I looked through the new scope and just had to have one. Hears a picture of it. No time to put it on the bow yet. Maybe Saturday.

Looks neat. I'm assuming those will fit into the regular scope rings that hold the drop zone/vari-zone. Gotta get to a shop to have a peek at those. Can't justify getting one though - that's way down on the list for me. :(

It fits right into the same rings. I don't think my flip up scope caps will fit though.

Lumizone scope

I was at the sportsmen show on thursday and had a look at it. I tried looking through it at the show but with the lighting it was a poor scenario. With it in the natural setting, do the chevrons on the reticle show up distinctly or are they as clear as with out the illumination. I know that with the red dot scope, if the brightness of the red dot is increased, the dot becomes a little fuzzy. This is not a factor in the field as the brightness can be dialed to suit the situation. I assume that this is the case with this scope as well.
I appreciate your comments as this is the last concern before I too buy one.

bbbwb, the scope has 12 different brightness settings to eliminate these problems. I played around with it a little yesterday and like it best on the lower settings. It gives the reticle a red glow that looks awesome.
Hope this helps.

Got a new Vortex put aside ... with all the trimmings .... As far as the scope goes , I heard good things about it similar to what schnarrfuss has experineced ... From what I have heard the Lumi zone is a sweeeeeeet scope even without the battery in ( from a reliable source and avid shooter = bj ) ... the optics are very crisp and clear ...

Will give you a field update , next week when I pick it up ....

PS : schnarrfuss .... what bow will you put it on ?

Let us know howm you like it.

You'll find the brighter the sun the higher you need to set the illumination If you need it at all. At quitting time you'll be on the lowest setting.

I think there was about $40 difference - it's a very nice scope!
