I ordered some lighted nocks from www.tracerarrow.com I bought them online a couple of months ago after some feedback from this forum. Actually last night was the first time that I put them together and experimented with a broken carbon bolt.. It fits pretty tight on account of the two small washers. Im not sure if I should glue them in or not. Sorry thats all the info I have so far. Im going to boil the aluminum nock out of a potential hunting bolt install the nock and let er rip. On another note I see the tom's are starting to strut. Can't wait!

Swiftfox,

I use the Lumi-noks from Burt Coyote Co. If you are using GT II bolts you must order them directly from the company. Bass Pro sells the Lum-nok for 2219 bolts and they will not fit GT II's. I have had a practice bolt w/Lumi-nok and probably over 50 shots on it and it has never failed. They cost @ 26 dollars for 3 through the company.

tracers

Don't glue them in. That's what the O-rings are for. If there to tight take 1 O-ring off. I use mine on Beman Thunderbolt arrows. If there still to tight you might try light sandpaper on the inside of the shaft. I have both the tracers & the lumenoks. The tracers are far superior when used on carbons. Dave

I did not think you could use them on graphite/carbon shafts as they must make contact inside the shaft from the pressure when shot. Do you not have to insert a metal sleeve inside the shaft to make continutity ?

Tracers have a little circuit board inside of them. They come with a small magnet that you put somewhere near the arrows flight and when the arrow passes by the light goes on, you run the arrow by the magnet to turn it off. They also have a small battery inside that powers the unit. I have 50 or so shots & no problems. I'm shooting both 2219's & thunderbolt carbons. Dave

Curmudgeon,

No sleeve required (Lumenok), the contacts are made together when the nock is pushed inside the shaft.
