Turkey hunting in the rain

Post by Bowster »

There is about 1/2" of rain expected here through the night into Tuesday morning.

I have a chance to get out a couple of hours before work in the morning.

What are your experiences Turkey hunting in the rain?

I'll be in a pop up blind so it won't really bother me.

Is it worth it to get up at 4:00 a.m.?
If the thrill of the hunt is lost, then I have lost.

Put quite simply, you won't see anything in bed. I know of turkeys being taken in all kinds of weather. They will head for open fields right after the rain stops to dry off.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!
