Strutting Tom bites the dust!

Post by bbbwb »

Hi Guys!
Well this morning was the lucky one. At 8:40 a.m. after an hour of answering gobbles, I bagged, at a 10 foot shot Mr. Tom, as he literally charged for the decoys --- I suspect he was targeting my tom/jake decoy. He was so intent on the decoys that he never knew that I existed until it was tooooooo late.
18.4 lbs, 9 1/4 " beard, 5/8" spurs
So in 2 years after turkeys, it is 2 successful seasons. Great feeling anytime,to outsmart any wildlife in their own backyard.
Just had to share this with someone, thanks.

To All:
Many thanks for the congratulations. It is much appreciated.
Congratulations to all and best of luck to each and everyone in being successful.
As noted in the many successes, there are some very fine birds being taken and there is still the best part of a month to go. Lots of "meat for the table".
