My First Turkey

Post by Chris Jones »

I got my first turkey yesterday morning at 8am. There were so many turkeys in the field that I was hunting and soon enough a jake walked 10 yards infront of my blind. I dont think its too big, but it was a great feeling seeing it make its way closer and closer. I look forward to going back out there and getting another one!!!

Chris . . .congrats! Did you get it with the crossbow? If so, where did you hit the Tom? What with?

Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

I shot it with my phoenix crossbow right above the left wing, when the arrow went through the bird it went hit the lungs. I used the Boss SST 100 grain broadheads that come with the accessory package.

Good Luck!!!
