Sighting in your expensive new rifle

1. Shiny new, high-powered rifle.............. $1200.00

2. Quality, high-powered scope........................ $ 550.00

3. Bore sighting device..................................... $ 140.00

4. Forgetting to remove the bore sighting device prior to shooting?

Priceless!

 First time I have ever seen a high powered rifle with a variable choke. I shure hope they are not mass produced. If they were hand loads ,maybe recalculating formula should be concidered. You have to give him credit if he survived they tried to explode a barrel on "Myth Busters" and those "experts" couldn't do it. Good pictures and reading,
Excalibur Exomax and Arctic Cat 400 auto. Life don't get much better than that.

frisky, no I did not. I hope he is alright for I hate to see someone get seriously hurt, you know that he was excited to get to the range to try out his new rifle.

I ALMOST DID A SIMILIAR THING YEARS AGO WHEN SIGHTING IN A FRIENDS BLACK POWDER RIFLE. HE LOADED THE RIFLE AND HANDED IT TO ME TO SHOOT BUT FORGOT TO REMOVE THE RAMROD. JUST BEFORE I TOUCHED IT OFF I NOTICED THE BARREL SEEMED LONGER THAN USUAL. I DONT KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I HAD SHOT, BUT I BET IT WOULDNT HAVE BEEN PRETTY.
