Some basic rules I made

Post by mdcrossbow »

for bow hunting;
1.Walk quietly.
2.don't touch anything which scent my be picked up on.
3.Hunt high or hunt with heavy cover.
4.wait on the perfect shot, many times I have thought it was perfect and I still waited and got the perfect shot. I haven't killed as many deer as I have by rushing my shot's.
5.Always remove deer with out being seen by neighbors. You don't want to cause anyone to be put off by your killing of deer.

Lets see some good ones. This should be good for new hunters.

1. Quiet in, quiet out.
2. Stay out of bedding areas even during off season.
3. Pack light.

common sense but always wear your safety harness while treestand hunting, never raise or lower a bow with a bolt on the rail.

Respect the land and the landowner by leaving the area as you found it. ( well maybe a little blood left behind is ok. )

Make sure that someone knows where you are and when your expected to return.

Worth mentioning twice: WEAR A FULL BODY FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

Enjoy God's geart outdoors that he has loaned to us

Enjoy yourself and have a good time.

If you find that "spot of a lifetime", CALL ME
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Never ever think no one will find out I shot this deer illegally.
You are only doing what is very wrong.
I have heard through the grapvine of this.
It doesn't help our cause as hunters.

TP is a must  . Can't thank Tim Horton's enough for giving me extra napkins with my breakfast sandwiches. I stash them in the truck for those early morning field emergencies    .

a few more

HAVE FUN! Try not to get so wrapped up in killing something.
Expect the unexpected. If you go out planning to kill a B&C deer, then you wont ever see him. If you go out thinking of killing a doe, then the monstor horns will walk by;)

and always take what you leanr every year and apply it to next year. Experience makes perfect! Everything else is luck and hoping the deer do as you think they will
