Downloaded the pics from a fishing forum I use. The story is this buck was found swimming 1.5 miles out the the Cheasapeke Bay and was rescued/released by these fisherman.
Deer are excellent swimmers. I don't want to be too critical because I don't know the whole story, but they probably would have been better off just leaving him alone.
1 1/2 miles from shore.... I do not know if that deer would of made it or not... That deer could of easily turned the wrong way and died out in the bay.... I think they probably did the right thing...

I hunted Andelot Farm for many yrs. I've seen deer swim offshore to avoid us. Did they drown ???????? but they were swimming to nowhere. Again Nice job Dave
