Antlerless reminder

Post by chris4570 »

I almost forgot, so I figured I'd remind those who may have also forgotten. July 31st is the deadline for our applications. Will be sending mine off tomorrow morning.

Do NOT purchase a licence first! If you do you then cannot use the phone-in system. Just phone in and after the draw they will mail your Outdoors Card sticker and appropriate game seal to you.

Fergie,
Your tag purchased is good for ONE buck. Enter into the doe tag draw (almost 100% success) and you will recieve a doe sticker to add to your original tag. This allows you to harvest either a buck OR a doe, not both.

Fergie,
You will still have one tag if you are successful in the draw. However being successfull means you may harvest a buck OR a doe. Without entering into the draw you may only take a buck.
Lets say you DO NOT enter the draw and you hunt all season for a buck but never see one or do not have the right shooting opportunity for a buck. Yet, you see many does and have mumerous potential shots at a doe but cannot legally shoot one. Shitty for you that you did not enter the draw, right?
End of this month.
If you want a second tag then you can purchase another when they go on sale, but you must have purchased your first deer tag already.
Pick up the MNR regs. All info in there.
