Ameristep Penthouse; what blind would u recommend?

Post by Andre Leblanc »

Greetings gents,
I'm getting ready to purchase a ground blind and I've been looking at the Penthouse by Ameristep. I want the room to move around etc... Has anyone else used one? Or an other model? Thanks in advance for any insight guys.

Have two doghouse blinds and love'em. Will buy the penthouse when it's time to bring the kids out.

get the brickhouse.. I have that blind and love it. Its big, but plenty of bow hunting room and you can take your kid(s) with you. I didnt hunt from mine much, but was very impressed by it

Just ordered a new blind from Cabela's. I have a "doghouse" and it's been a very good blind, but this one is a little larger and similar in construction.

That must be the original prototype "penthouse". I just don't think it will fit on the back of my Arctic Cat 400. All your inputs are appreciated.

Bushdog,
I did not see a nice bow rack in there. Anything that nice has to have a great bow rack.

I have the brickhouse and I like the room and style of the blind but I have some serious quality issuses. The metal things that hold the poles in the hub are breaking and falling apart. The first one I had did it the first time I put it up.The second one did it about the 4th time. They seem to fall apart at the seam line in the casting.I have been intouch with them and they will not stand behind their products.I would recomend you buy a different brand.

My 2 cents,
