Post by crazyfarmer »

just a info post for everyone :D

Ive been using the 2inch blazers so far and I love those. Only down side is that you give up some FOC from what I see.

does anyone like the 3-4 inch vanes? If so what kind and what length works best for you

2" razor feathers. Very accurate and quiet for a feather.

2" blazers
tried many other vanes & feathers and settled on the blazers as a cood compromise of weight, durability, and looks

2" BLAZER'S ONLY , they will stabilize almost any broad head and stand up great to rough treatment

I talked to Dan Miller some time back about what vane he liked best.
He told me to use Van-tec. He had some 5" vanes he sent me to try.

I made up six or seven bolts all had the same weight the same FOC.
We shot 4" quick spins, 2" Blazers, 4" dura vanes, 3" Van-tec , 5" van-Tec and another 4" vane . I do not remember the brand.
We shot them at different yrds. the one that work the best was the 3" Van-tec.
So if I'm putting vane on I use Van-Tec or I use turckey feathers I cut my self.
Now I sill have some of those other vanes left over if anyone would like to try them let me know I can send them to you.

2" Blazers.

I put them on with Loc Tite Super Glue Gel and you can't pull them off with a pair of pliers.
