Lonewolf, was thinking about getting a Montana moose decoy. How are they?? Are they worth the money or should I just make one??LoneWolf wrote:We have 3 guys in our group of 4 guys in Pool 1 that hunt WMU 65 for the special archery season who didn't get any tags this year, so we still have one more chance for a tag. I'm not gonna find that out for another week as he's gone away on holidays.
However, I'm going up to Geraldton on an archery moose hunt with another group at; www.wildgooselake.com and we have 1 bull and 2 cows for up there. I'm leaving to go up on Sept 17th to get a couple of days of scouting in and we will be hunting from Sept 22- 28th... Then we leave the resort on the 29th.
I have my Argo, my bow, my moose cone, and my Montana cow moose decoy ready to go!
Best of luck to all of you who are going out after them swamp donkeys!

Five guys in our group. We have a bull tag and cow tag for the archery hunt in WMU 19, goig to the same place as LoneWolf on the same week. (LoneWolf we will see you there). Can't wait, I will be using my new bear compond and my dad will use my exocet. This is the first time that my dad will hunt with a bow, he is very excited. I hope this weather cools down. Anyway good hunting to all who go. Have a safe and enjoyable trip and I look forward to all of the pics.

Yes, I hope this weather cools down some by then... Yep, will see you there, Quickshot. Won't be long now!
Looking forward to shaking your hand!
schnarrfuss, I think they're worth it.
In my opinion they look real even to the human eye. I don't think there's going to be a rutting bull in the woods that will be able to resist that white vulva patch. I think it will be a great tool for archery moose hunting, especially if a bull decides to hang up outta bow range, or if and when a bull was to stick his head out of thick cover to have look for that hot cow that's been calling.
Here's a couple of pictures, you tell me what you think.
Sorry for blanking out the guy's face, but I didn't get permission to post his picture on the web. The guy standing beside it is 6' 4" btw...
