Congrats to you and your son Gizzly! In antoher life I was a commercial pilot and got my ticket at 17 years old, I even built a plane whe I was 20. Its a great passion and a life long one. Learning to fly is a great adventure, your son has lots of fun ahead of him!

Cool! I've been through groundschool and have held a student's license with some practical training. Only the cost prevented me from moving on with it (had more important things to spend money on, like the farm!) ... the Dude is right, though ... the passion never dies!

Congrats on the 1st solo. Funny about the age thing eh! I owned my 1st plane before I owned my 1st car.

I am still amazed that the tail stays on ethose things as they look pencil thin.

Wanna really blow your wig, learn to to floats! Out of all the flying time I have, float flying was by far the most enjoyable. Ahhhhh only to glide back to the 2Otter days on water....
