HALIBURTON, Ont. (CP) -- Autopsies will be conducted on three people who died early Saturday following what authorities consider a suspicious blaze at a remote hunting camp near Haliburton, Ont.
Fire crews were called early Saturday to a camp near the town, about 100 kilometres north of Peterborough, Ont.
Provincial police forensic investigators and the fire marshal were also called to the scene.
Police say six people were staying at the camp when the fire broke out.
Three other people were not injured in the blaze, which also destroyed an entire structure.
The victims' names have not yet been released.
It's a sad situation, maybe it could of been prevented if their was a smoke detector.
We have them in our hunt camp and I always change the battery and test it before the hunt season.
I've seen this happen before, early detections is the key and it's law in Ontario.
