Glue for inserts
Do I have to use insert glue or can I use something from a hardware store (my nearest archery store is more than 250 km away). My right stuff package came with the GT Laser II bolts and I have 3 inserts come out, 1 after 1 use and other 2 after 6-8 uses kinda dissapointing after paying big bucks for this package. Does anyone know of a good online store in Canada for bolts and ect...
Another vote for Archer's Nook I have been dealing with them a fair bit online and they have been excellent. I just ordered a carbon six shooter target from them . They callled me to explain that because of it's size the shipping would be more than usual . I ordered the target anyway but it was sure nice to get a heads up that it was going to be more than expected

I've used Gorilla Glue for the nocks and inserts. Use sparingly, it expands and has never come loose, yet. You should be able to find it at your local hardware/grocery store.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

I have had good luck with 5 minute epoxy for installing inserts in carbon shafts. I will clean them with acetone and the give the inside of the shaft a quick scrub with a 22 cal bronze brush the re wipe with acetone.
This is the way I prep all my carbon shafts . The 1st wipe with acetone removes cleans the surface so I do do push contaminants into the shaft when I use the bore brush. the bore brush will rough up the inside of the shaft a bit and allow better adhesion . The wipe after the brush will remove any carbon dust from the previous operation.
