Target recommendation

I'm expecting delivery of a Vortex - first bow - and would appreciate some advice on target tip and broadhead targets .... local Walmart has a Delta 30" Burly bag - suitable for the target tips?

How about a broadhead stop? Canadian Tire stock anything suitable?
All I saw at Wallymart was a #6 Delta foam job.

I bought a Morrells Crossbow Target . Stops ANYTHING , field tip or broadheads. Only problem I have is removing the bolts(arrows) . It is a very dense material which makes it hard to pull them. Using a mixture of water and dish detergent will make it easier to pull bolts from target . Learned that from shooting 3D targets.

I bought a Mckenzie Shotblocker a couple of months ago and I'm not too impressed with it. The Block is much better, costs more and well worth it.

Go with The Block . . .as soon as I wear out the target I have, I'll get another Block.

I'm using the Block too....It's expensive, but it does stop both field and broadheads really well.... Just make sure you get the one designed for crossbows... It's more dense than the regular Block target...However, eventually it will wear out at the dots, so rotate your aim at the targets and put up some in-between dots to shoot at.....Also, I've put a small ratchet strap around the block and tightened it up... Seems to help.....

I use the Morrells SUPER DUPER and its taken a beatining for 3 yrs now(field points only) and a BLOCK target for BH's.

We use The Block too - was my birthday present last year.

We are fortunate to have the use of the range for practice - it's only 25 minutes away and they leave their targets out for the members.

There is a bylaw against shooting in town so we can't use the backyard although I did take a few shots once in the middle of deer season after having to replace my f.o. sight (we have good neighbours!)

For field points I love my feedsack target (A feedsack stuffed with 50 or so used feedsacks that I bought at a local farm supply store. I think it cost me $5 or $10). I can pull the bolts out with 2 fingers. Not for use with broadheads however.

I'll vote for the Morrell Xbow target.....as good if not better than the block and a lot less $$$$....All those "high priced" celebrity endorsers for the block are being paid by someone.....guess who??
