Awesome opening day (9/29/07) in Ohio for me!
I got out into the field early and about 15 minutes into the season, a doe sneaking into where I'm sitting at the base of a tree. I spotted her at 25 yard walking straight toward me. She came into 10 yards and got freaked out a little, probably when she heard when my coat rub my stock. She ran about 15 yards back and stopped looking back in my general direction, but not directly at me. sweet. not quite busted yet. when she looked away, I was able to turn my body and bring the bow up for a 26 yard shot. I found her 115 paces from where I shot her. Excellent morning for me.
We took her down to Northfork in Newark and then got a bite to eat and went back to the field. I'm stretching my legs at about 7:15 PM and watching a doe up on a hill about 100 yards away from me. Made my evening just seeing another deer...then I hear something to my left. I look over and didn't see anything. well, the doe on the hill gets spooked by something and runs off. then I hear another noise to my left again and look over and what do you know, through some brush I see a movement, focus on it and see that its a deer.
I sit back down and bring my bow up to a shooting position. as the deer clears the brush, I see that its a 6 point buck with a decent size body. too big to pass up. I sight in with my vari-zone scope and when the deer stopped to check ahead for danger, it was a 20 yard broad side shot. He ran up the hill and fell within sight.
2 deer on opening day. what an amazing day for me!
I attached some pictures

Both deer were taken with Montec G5 100gr broad heads.

Yeah it was great. after I shot the doe, while I was waiting the hour, I spotted another doe way off in the field. after about 20 minutes, she was 5 yards behind me. there was also a 4 point buck that ran out behind the 6 point after I shot it. it grazed in front of me for at least 20 minutes as well. I saw 10 deer in the field on Saturday with 4 of then in range!
