I'm also sorry to hear of your father passing away. The circle of life has now made you and your husband the elders, to teach your kids what you have been taught.

My dad passed away 27 years ago, I still think of him when I go hunting in the exact spot we went years ago. Sometimes when I go by a tree that's more than 30 years old, I say to myself, that tree was alive when my dad was hunting here, "I wonder if he touched or rested against that very tree", :?: stupid thought hey?

I'm sorry for your loss.
He sounds like he was a wonderful man
We will pray for you and your family.
Isn't it comforting to know that as your father is now with our father that there is no more cancer,or pain or depression or heartache. He is fully restored in heaven as we all can be if we just ask him into our hearts, admit that we are sinners and are poweless to controll our lives and to always strive to be better people. Your troubles and pain will not be over but you will have the the supreme counselor to help you through it.
Just let go & let God.

VixChix:
My condolences to you at this time of your loss.
I have reread your September 18th comments about my daughter and myself going hunting for geese. It impressed me to know of your treasured hunting experiences with your dad --- Thanks
