Problem with Slick Tricks

Post by Ben S. »

Just wondering if anyone can help. My Slick Tricks are always rattling. I got then tightened right down on the bolt but there is still a little play in the blades that causes them to move and make a vibrating noise when I walk with them on the quiver. even when I'm handling the bolts they make noise. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine do the same thing Ben. Even tightened down against the washer, I can move the individual blades by hand.

Yes Fletch, that is with the washer on. I don't think it affects the flight but the noise drives me crazy.

Mine definitely do not do that. Have you tried switching the blades to the other side? Can they lock backwards or something? I used mine last week or I would play around with them a little. They didn't make a noise, I wouldn't like that either . . .I make enough noise on my own.

Did anyone contact slick trick about this, Mine are great, Must be a machining flaw. Got a deer last monday, wow what damage they do.
Just looked at mine, seems if you put them in a drill and held a small file where the washer touches the ferrel it would take the play out. You want to file the toward the point. They are not hardened so it would work.

Good luck. Stosh

I have 12 of them and none rattle or are loose in any way. I'd contact Slick on that.

Mine don't rattle either. I would call Slick Trick as Enormous suggested. I am sure that they will take care of it.

Sent them an e-mail. I'll wait to hear from them. I've been using these broadheads since they were first mentioned in this forum and I love them. This vibrating noise is just bugging me.

The noise aside, how can they possibly shoot accurately if they are moving?

Might be a problem when you go to replace the blades unless I am misunderstanding you. Wayne
