Your Thoughts

Hello everyone. I was out today and had a buck come into my calling and ratteling. He was coming fast then he spotted my blind. He was in the thick stuff and kept looking but still coming. He got in this one spot where i thiught i could take him and i put the 30 yd. pin on him. I thought i hit him and he ran to my right about 40 yds. and then i didnt see him, 2 min. later he runs back to where he came from . I waited 1/2 hour and went to look for blood and my bolt but found nothing. No fur or blood and couldnt find my bolt. I was uphill shooting down not on a big angle. Called my friends and we searched for 6 hours with no results. do you think i could have missed him and the bolt got buried in the ground? No blood or hair anywhere.

sounds like a miss and if the ground is soft and covered with leaves good luck in finding your arrow.

There is a definite "smack" sound when your arrow hits a deer, and most times shooting from the ground results in a lost bolt.
