shotgun deer

Post by Quickshot »

I was fortunate enough to take this large buck on Monday morning with my shotgun. This deer was taken from the same property as the large deer I took last year (the one in my avatar), perhaps its older brother. The deer was very old and actually going down hill, the friend that I was hunting with has trail cam pics of this deer two years ago and the deer was much bigger. Anyway the big boy is a main frame 10 point with 4 extra small points which are big enough to score. The slug entered through the liver and traveled forward through the heart, the deer ran about 100 yards and piled into a tamarack tree. What a hunt and what a deer
