15 yr old son's first Buck ever - 6 pointer

Post by LondonDave »

My 15 yr old son Riley got to the stand today at about 3:15 pm. At about 4:00 pm this nice 6 pointer stepped out and gave him a perfect broadside shot at 25 yards. He only went about 20 yards from where he was hit and dropped dead.

This is my son's first season, first deer and only his 4th time out. He's way up on me because I haven't even killed my first deer yet!

Deer was taken about 5 minutes from where we live in London, Ontario with a Excalibur Vortex, Excalibur Fire Bolt and Wasp Boss broadhead.

I'm not sure who was more excited about this, my son or my neighbour who has been mentoring us in the wonderful world of deer hunting.

Hopefully I've figure this picture thing out and the pictures will show up.

Dave

Congratulation. That is an awesome first deer, especially when taken with archery gear.

Way to go Riley. I always got more excited when my kids killed a deer then when I did. Congrats again.
