Post by Bow Life »

I am wondering what the weight is of a stock Gold Tip Laser II with the standard veins and a 100 gr brodhead on it.
Thanks, id check myself but i dont have a scale that runs in grains.

They are the standard ones you get in the "excalibur" box of 6. I dont believe they have brass inserts.

They are aluminum inserts ... and im just concerned about them being under 350grs. As long as they will be more then that its all good

Hey

This is the recommendation from Excalbur, I did a cross refference from the advertised speed of the Exocet and the Exomax and compared it to the chart of recommendations chart found at: http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/demo/m ... ent_id=143

The Velocity at 350 grains for an Exomax is 350 fps, for the Exocet 200 it is 330 fps @ 350 grains.

The arrow length for all models is 20" and the weight is 350 grain min for all except the Vixen which could be 325 grains.

They also advertise that the "Right Stuff Package" is the same for all models they sell, found at: http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/demo/m ... tent_id=83

Because they do not mention the arrow weight in the right stuff thing, I would assume the weights of all the arrows in the package are the same as that mentioned in the first chart.
Too make a long story short I think you will be at 350 grains unless you have a Vixen!
Hope this helps.
Enjoy the Harvest!
