What's a Paradox kit worth ??

Post by bushmaster »

I see on another forum a fella selling a barely used Paradox kit. What's it worth and what kind of bow is it...reliabilty, etc. ?? Is it relatively quiet?? Thanks.

theres quite a few posts on paradox and maxpoints if you do a search you'll find the most info.

I still have a Maxpoint it's the same bow as the Paradox. Excellent bow and it shoots pretty fast. My uncle is useing it this year. Really a quality piece for a wheeled bow. Excalibur made most of the parts for it and you could actually put an older Excalibur recurve prod assembly on it and have a recurve.

A friend of mine has a Paradox, and I love it. I even offered to trade my Phoenix and some $ for it! lol

I wish I had one. Very powerful.

I wouldn't trade mine for a brand new max. Dependable, accurate and not as cumbersome to carry. Everything I ever want, how much are they asking?.

Rutman, here's the guys ad...mostly I'm concerned about noise level.

Excalibur Paradox Crossbow,

Comes with 4 bolts, some field tips as well as 3 125 grain broadheads, Excalibur's ballistic scope for ranges from 20 yards - 60 yards., their crankaroo (caulking aid) and a soft case. This bow shoots very well, I have used it for hunting a couple times but prefer to carry my bow. When I went to Wholesale to get the scope Gerry figured I had a $1,100.00 - $1,200.00 package. This is like new and is barely, and I mean barely used. $600.00 or trade for a 22-250 or similar caliber.

Buy it!. If it's near me I'll buy it if you don't want it. They are every bit as quiet as similar speed recurves. Deer do not react fast enough anyway. I use to have to shoot at the chest hair with my wolverine and the deer would drop into the shot. When I made the switch I did that and blew all the chest hair off the first one. The next time I shot at the heart and WALA. They will not ever dissapoint you!

I guess you got it Bushmaster? Good for you. I was looking hard at it but I know my wife would not let me buy a fourth x-bow.
