Just got a couple of STSs for Excals. Any words of wisdom for me before I install them? Positive feedback only please.

I shot an AR-37 Blade, vert bow with an STS on it, pretty neat product. I like the idea of it. Works pretty good too.

Please expand on your reply TYE. What does it do when it " works pretty good." I made a copy of the commercial version. I think I noticed some noise reduction and perhaps some vibrations dampening but don't know what I should be looking for.

I appreciate your input Tye, my Vulcan has one on it an it works awesome. I wanted to know about the STS and crossbows.
Cossak, the STS works wonderfully on compounds. It is a known fact.

Wow! I figure that the noise reduction is about seventy percent more or less! (I am guessing) The STS plus my Xcel string with cat whiskers is so quiet now that I can hear the ring from the arrow tension arm!
Two notes. One do not shoot it without just the cushions (you will have to remove the blocks). Two, you will have to cut the rods going into the blocks if you want a lower brace height.
The brace height you see is at the highest mark and you can lower it only by about a quarter inch.

Just got an email from someone using an STS. He hit a deer at 20 yards and heard the arrow hit the deer!!!!
If the EDSs only last fifty shots I'll be happy. Donno how expensive they are but I will only have them on when hunting.

Cossack, I shot a AR with an STS and a Hoyt without an STS, both really nice bows. I shot the AR before he installed the STS on it and it had some obvious hand shock and thwack noise to it. When I shot it with the STS, that thwack was changed into a slight tick against the rubber STS the noise was reduced so much. And the hand shock was completely gone, except I could slightly feel the string tick against the STS on release. I will be getting an STS for my compound when I can afford it. It makes a world of difference in my opinion.

One question - When the string on an Excalibur stretches, and they all do, it is obvious to see because of the min/max marks on the rail. With this system installed it would hold the string at the point it contacts the pads.
Would this present any problems?????
eg. - how would you check brace height??????
