This is my first year crossbow hunting and it has been a good one.I hurt my shoulder and had to switch to a crossbow after 20+ years of bowhunting. The first crossbow I bought was a Barnett it messed up after about 30 shots had to send it back to have trigger assembly replaced.I did manage to kill a good 8 point with it before it messed up.The buck had a 18" inside spread and 21" main beams the tines where about 6 to 7" long. The guys at greybeards forum had many good things to say about excalibur bows so I went and bought a Phoenix love it. I have taken 2 does and a turkey with it so far this fall.Anyone in the northern Ky area using this forum.Hi to everyone and good luck.

Welcome and congrats on the Buck, sorry to hear about the Barnett messing up. Those us who got Excal CB's think they're great. Course the others that have wheels like theirs too.

Welcome to the forum!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like a nice buck you took, cingratulations!
I think the Excalibur is the best hunting crossbow made! I had given up on crossbows as a serious way to hunt until I tried Excalibur.
