the job

Post by navaman »

just got back in from a job on a guy's 180 acres. he is surrounded by 2800 undeveloped acres. we framed a cabin there and it was nice.this place is also 5 miles away from a country road that leads to a small town 28 miles away.
anyway, we worked a good deal between the two of us. i'm getting 5 days in this season and 5 days next archery season with one of my stepsons. there are deer everywhere! they havn't had too much hunting pressure put on them and it's been for the most part, bow hunters out there.
we each get an 8 pointer or less. (they're working on growing some big ones) a doe, a feral hog, a turkey, and axis doe. we can nail a javalina too if we see one.
i'm happier than the proverbial pig right now and i'm grateful to God for this blessing. thought i'd just share with you all what happened. :D

Sounds good! :D

There's more opportunity out there for the polite and thoughtful hunter than most people think.

Good for you Navaman, those are some of the perks when you work for someone. He needs you as bad as you need him.
