I ordered a set of these from the bowhunters superstore a few weeks ago. Nothing was happening but I saw I was billed so I figured order was sent (3 items ordered) only one came so I called. Found out the other two items were backordered and they were unable to tell me when they might come in--said it could be many weeks--i asked why they billed me already and I wanted to cancel order and see if I could get elsewhere--no can do--store credit only for refund. So beware of this resource--call first and see if they can fill your order --they may not be able to but they will be able to bill you right away. First time I was ever billed for something that had not shipped yet without being notified yet. If it goes too long I am going to contest the credit card chard with my card company. Just a heads up for the rest of you guys.
Time to put another log on the fire!

I put them on my Vortex; does make it quieter. To make the bumpers last longer, rotate 1/4 or 1/2 after every 10-15 shots so the string does not hit the same spot over and over.

Robert,

Please explain any mistakes we have made so they can be discussed.

It will seem fair to have the person you have been defaming present to

counter any objective comments you may have.

with the speeds that these crossbows are shooting at the deer doesn't even know he is allready dead by the time he hears the sound of your bow. M&M

Gentlemen, the man is saying that the noise is driving him nuts. It drives me nuts too. That is why I used Dacron exclusively. I am happier to shoot my bows now that I've shut them up some. BTW some of you guys have never shot a silenced bows, I was pretty amazed when I did.

Why don't you make your own? I used limbsavers, for split limb bows. There is a few pics here if you do a search.

Good Luck, Stosh

Yeh, I did make my own, and it did help some but I dont think it cut the noise by 70%. I made mine with limb savers for spilt limbs too. The deer gods havent given me a shot yet but I have been hunting hard. To bad it is pooring down rain right now or I would be out ther right now.

Camo jack, where is your brace height? My brace height is at the highest mark and the STS pads are just touching the string.

My brace hight is at mark closest to the triger! but all my home made depressors do is keep the string from slaping the riser when I shoot they dont touch the stirng or change the brace hight

noise

noise vs. distace vs. speed.
does anyone have a chart or something that relates to this subject.
I know deer can hear great
I got busted this season, 15 yards out with my vert bow.
I have a wisker bisket on my bow. I drew it back about 4" to 5 " and the deer looked right at me then took off.
The sound was not loud at all, but loud enough that the deer heard it 15 yards out.
I don't think the volume of noise fits into the equation ? because there hearing is much beter than ours.
So distace of the bow noise vs. the speed of the bows arrow.
Where does the noise of bow meet the arrow? :?:
