Miter saw for carbons

Post by deerdhunter »

Anyone ever tried using a miter saw with abrasive blade to cut off carbon arrows?

No reason why it wouldn't work, just square off the ends with an ASD.
Some people just like stepping on rakes

Most carbon arrow manufacturers recommend a saw with RPM's of 5000 or above, so if your miter saw does that there is no reason it won't work.

Yes,
I have cut both carbons & aluminums with a mitre saw and a thin cutoff blade. You have to cut very slowly or the carbons will get some splintering. (more like fuzz on the edge)
