O/T Starbucks

Post by saxman »

I have not confirmed if this is true or not but here it is.
I don't care for war either but I care for the people who fight for me and their familes.

Guess I won't be drinking Starbucks anymore! ! !

Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to
let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they
send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines
thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not
support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops
their brand of coffee.

So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by
buying any of their products! I feel we should get th is out in the open. I
know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't
mean we don't support the men and women on the ground fighting street -to-street and house-to-house.

If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can
discard it and no one will never know.

Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I
deploy once more.

PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS . ALLOW IT TO BE
PASSED TO ALL IN MEMORY OF ALL THE TROOPS WHO HAVE DIED SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THEM OR NOT! !

Also, don't forget that when the Twin Trade Towers were hit the fire
fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by for water for
the survivors and workers and Starbucks charged them! ! !

JUST A NOTE TO THIS;
STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY BASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEI NG REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS.

GO GET 'EM AMERICA AND MY BROTHERS AROUND THE WORLD.

STAND-UP FOR OURSELVES!

I have seen the very E-mail for a couple of years now,,,,Don't know about the truth of it,but it seems that at Christmas every year this pops it's head out of the hole,,,,,,I don't drink coffee anyways so I could care less about "Starbucks" Folks just need to support the Ladies and Men that get Deployed to that hell hole and other regions of the world. As far as charging the Firefighters and Rescue folks for water...I wouldn't piss on a Starbucks if it were on fire,, unless of course Human lives are in danger, then I wouldn't expect shiz-nit from them,,, They can keep their coffee and their water. I love my carreer and the folks that I serve next too. That's all I need,,, No Coffee/Tea, Food, Discounts, or the such can give me what I have already recieved just from being part of the "Family".

I have also seen this for a year or two. Being a Nam vet I wanted to know the truth. I stopped at 2 of the shops and they gave me the # of the head office. I called and they had heard about this and told me it was not true, they would not do anything like that.I hope they were telling me the truth.

OK,,,, so I might have been a lil harsh when I said I wouldn't pizz on a Starbucks if it were on Fire,,,,,, I know, I know,,,, I took the Oath to Protect Life and Property and I would in a heart beat... So I apoligize for that comment,,,,,, It drives me nuts to drive by that place in the morning (traffic) and to see the folks on the cell phone, driving, while try'n to sip on their coffee or tea........PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE,,,, Ok now I have vented..

I have gone 19 years with drinking starbucks and i figure i can go another 19 easy. Asking the sergeant if we could do a starbucks run for the section just does not sound the same as tim hortons.

I drank Starbuck's (commonly called Fourbucks here) once. Wife's request. I didn't like it . Way too bitter of a coffee for me. Plus the Four Bucks price tag was a little too hefty for me.....

Here in Canada, we often see Starbuck's stores inside Chapter's book stores, and Chapter's / Indigo / Coles is known to be anti-gun. I don't know if there's a corporate relationship between the two companies, but it appears that there is.

I'm not suprised. My local Chapters pulled all gun related magazines a couple of years ago. I used to buy Shooting Sportsman and Doublegun Journal there but no more.

Amen Brother! I'm sitting here "down with O.P.P." sipp'n on a Tim's! Some of the girls like the Starbuck but I'm not paying $2.50+ for some fancy-schmancy coffee.

I never buy fancy coffee, but once in a while I'll drive thru at Timmies. I'm the only coffee drinker in our house - a cup or two a day. I recently indulged in a Tassimo machine and can't say enough about it. The coffee is fresh and tastes great - virtually instant and it's real brewed coffee. :D
