Success Tonight !!!

Post by Normous »

Just before waking this morning, I had a deer hunting dream, a good one, as usual. When I woke Patti, she grogily said " I was just dreaming you shot a deer. Nice! You have to feel something good is going to happen when you both dream the same thing.
So at 12:30 pm we departed. Only after shoving a 6 pound Black Angus Prime Rib in the oven and set it to 190 degrees. It was going to be a good day!!
At 4:30 I arrowed an nice medium doe in her second year at 28 yards from a sit along numerous trails, 100 yards inside from the edge of the bush. Patti was nearby, about 120 yards away, also ready with her Custom Vortex- ready to rock!
The Equinox, GTII and Rage 3 blade left and immediate hair and super blood trail. Recovery was easy in the snow. 70 yards is where it all stopped.
I opened my finest wine tonight with the Prime Rib for this special occasion. Cheers to my fine fellow Forum friends!! ALL THE BEST IN 2008!
I filled 3 deer tags this year and 1/5 of a moose also resides in the freezer. We will celebrate and proudly eat well!
I will try to get assistance to post photos.
