Vixen Rocks!

Post by BigTiny »

With the onset of rifle season, I have been neglecting shooting the Vixen. Today I went out for some practice before the second archery segment here begins. Some time ago, I got tired of shooting at the big white target squares on my target and stenciled some acorns on there. The acorns are about the same width as the handle on the cocking rope and just slightly taller. I don't know how many shots I took today, but I was out there until my wife got sick of me shooting. I missed a total of 3 acorns. All the rest were solid hits. All my misses were wide left, so I know that is shooter error.

Ever since I got this thing I have been amazed by it's accuracy and today was no exception. My wife awarded the Vixen the "coolest hunting thing" I have and I have to agree.

One day I'll shoot that thing off a rest and really see what it can do!

She already approved a new pistol or rifle, but I'm having trouble choosing. It's between a Ruger SA in .41mag, or a Savage in 7mm-08.

I'll probably put it off a little longer and get both!

That Vixen is absolutely worth every penny you pay for it.

Yes Excaliburs are very accurate , on a rest aim i put a kids wooden arrow against the foam to see if i could split the arrow and yes it did split it , awsome accuracy .

[quote="bstout"]Mine shoots the same as yours BT. Very repeatable, forgiving and smooth.

The Excalibur Vixen is extremely underestimated.[/quo

you're hitting the nail on the head with that comment bstout. I just took two bucks in two days with my vixen. i've been nothing but pleased with it since I bought it.
