I have Boo's 12x40 Steiner Predators, they are like having a flashlight strapped to your head when it comes to low light. Made my good Nikons look like a joke.
They are in that price range too, I think..

I just bought a pair of these for cheap. http://www.celestron.com/c2/product.php ... ProdID=168
They are amazing for the price, although not as good as the ones Pydpiper is using. I bought the Celestron new from a buddy that owns a camera shop. They sell for somewhere between $125. to $150.
The Steiners are better in every respect and if you can find a pair I think I last saw them at SIR Mail Order in Winnipeg, Manitoba for around $300.00. A phone call might find one left over, who knows. One of the best things about the Steiners is that you only focus once for your eyes.

I understand your budget requires you to purchase something in your price range but there are some things you must have. Definately go with a nitrogen or some other inert gas filling. I hate to think how many binoculars I've purchased in my life that would totally fog up whenever it rained and stay that way for days. The next thing to consider is size and wieght. You need to wear it around your neck in most cases. Two pounds of Binocs hanging on your chest is uncomfortable. Match the magnification to the purpose. You don't need 50x if you can only see 200 yds in most cases anyway. Field of view is more important. I finally broke down and got the $1k plus Saworskis. I'll never have to buy another pair of Binocs and they're my pride and joy. You can't believe what quality glass is until you see it.

I have decided: I just gone with the vortex vulture 8.5 x 50.
Lets see the quality. I hope it's good. At least the reports for they are very good.
Thanks for all you !
