Bob
One thing I did was glue about an 1/8" shim on the inside vertical face of the stationary jaw. This seems to allow the blade a little deeper depth for arrow shafts, and a much cleaner cut. This may have been just an anomaly with my particular saw. I have found these little saws handy for lots of little cutting jobs!

that's a nice looking saw for $20. I didn't know you could get one that reasonable. I use a 3/8 drill upside down in a vise, a square jig made out of a 1x4 w/ appropriate sized/located hole clamped to bench and the cut off wheel on my dremel while drill spins the shaft. Also works great for building wood ram rods for traditional m/l rifles.

Bob,

Thanks. I can´t wait to try mine. Anxiously waiting it to arrive.

I just got mine not to long ago, this is how I mounted mine, simple and cheap. It works great.

A member here was kind enough to pick one of these up for me on his travels to the US, I have not got around to getting the abrasive blade yet though. The blade that comes with it works just fine on carbon arrows, I always use the ASD on the arrows anyways, the cut in the carbon was smooth and square, even for a blade with teeth.
It would be nice to find a 2" diamond blade.

EDIT- Even though I have the same saw pictured above mine came with the blade detached from the unit, also it is held on with a hex nut.

:) Good setup. I usually just put a Dremel tool in a vice with a cutoff disc attached in it. I'm probably not as precise as I should be, but it seem to work for me, I then lightly sand the cutoff end of the shaft.

I use the same HarbourFreight chop saw. Cheap and effective.
