Did you get a right stuff package? If so, those arrows are fine and those broadheads are fine.
You can play with it like some of us do or leave it the way it is and it will shoot and hunt just fine.
IMHO it's all about what YOU like.
At the end of my post's it shows what I soot cause thats what I like,I'm a toy guy.
Good luck brother.

C&B,

Carbon arrow, I use a GT II with a brass insert, 2" blazer vanes and 4" arrow wraps. Tipped with Rage 2 Blade 100 grain broadhead this combo will put backstraps on the table everytime (as long as I do my part right).

I'm a fan of;
- Gold Laser IIs
- Brass inserts
- 2" Blazer Vanes
- 2" Cut Rocket Stricknines

2" Cuts take advantage of your 100+ft/lbs of KE. Try it and you won't go back. Why waste your KE on trees, rocks, stumps, or the ground, when you can use it to cut more flesh?

A Max/Equinox will have no problems passing a 2 Incher through a deer. I can assure you that.

Looks like Rich and I have similar tastes!

Aluminum shaft (2215), 2" blazers, 100 gr G-5 Montec.
You'll get a lot of different answers! The above is what I use. Just keep in mind about all the answers are given because that particular setup works fine for the member giving the answer. Just goes to show the Excaliburs will perform very well with a wide variety of arrows!
Pick what you like and try it. As long as it meets or exceeds Excalibur's recommendations on minimum weight and nock type (flat) you won't hurt the bow. If it shoots to your expectations you'll have an answer when someone else asks the question again.

Another vote for carbons: GT Lazer IIs, 110gr brass inserts, 2" Blazer vanes but with 100 gr Slick Trick magnum broadheads. Fly like a dart, sting like a really nasty BEE.

Go with a heavier bolt . . .the heavier the better . . .I'm not talking about adding inserts . . .a stiffer shaft is best. Short vanes, a heavy mechanical broadhead with a WIDE cut, and the Boo string.

You could just stick with the right stuff package, but, you would miss out on all the fun of experimenting. 8)

Don't get hung up on the speed thing . . .while speed is extremely important, an accurate, smooth shot is best. I've spent a lot of money and time playing around with different set-ups over the last year. I can't really say one shoots better than the other(they were all accurate as long as I used a mechanical broadhead). What I can say is one shoots smoother and quieter than the other and you only lose a couple of FPS in speed. Also, the wide cut mechanicals will drop a deer in their tracks . . .no need to track.

Also . . .keep some really lite bolts with lite target tips and shoot these for fun. They hit the target before your finger leaves the trigger. It's cool fun, but, the vibes are a bit heavy.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
Perception trumps intention.

There are no "Over the Bow Quivers". There are however "Over the Bow Quiver Mounts". You can attach almost any quiver to the mounts, which are simply just metal brackets.

That being said, there are 2 members here which manufacture, and sell these mounts.
- Dan Miller (American Rep for Excalibur)
- Groundpounder (Forum Member)

They have the same idea, but Groundpounder's is parallel to the rail, while Dan Miller's is perpendicular.

It's Best to contact Dan Miller through phone. But Groundpounder sells his mounts through the Trading Post.

Here is Digger's Miller Mount.

C & B,

I always felt the stock bolts with aluminum inserts were a little light for the 225# bows, don't know what the new Easton's weigh but I would at least upgrade to brass inserts if they do not come installed on them. Minimum weight bolts come at a price, that price is more wear and tear on the the high poundage bows. I also noticed an increase in accuracy with the heavier bolts.
