The Super Bowl Buck
I spent this past weekend up at the farm with my three partners. We decided to finish the season the way we started it, together. And besides, we feel very "manly" fending for ourselves at the farm house and we were really looking forward to watching the Super Bowl. To make a long story short, we missed the first half completely.
At 6:14 PM this eleven pointer made the mistake of coming under my climber and the Phoenix barked. Unfortunately I didn't put the shot on him that I would have liked and he went about five hundred yards before he gave up the ghost. It is the law here in Ohio that you have to check in your deer within a couple of hours after legal shooting on the last day of the season and we just got this guy to the check station right under the wire. Sorry for the lousy picture but it was the best I could do as we were really pressed for time.
He sure isn't the 160 pointer that I chased all season, but he is a good management buck to take at the farm. And for me, I think he was pretty good medicine as I was really depressed with all that happened going after that big boy.
And thanks to everyone that PM'd me telling me to white out my license plate and the information on the deer tag showing the location of our farm. It never occurred to me to do that but I guess advertising where our farm is located is not such a smart idea.

That is a very nice Buck Mike. Congratulations!!!!!! You can hunt a lifetime over here in Pa. and not see something like that in Season.
I would not have to think twice about it.
I do know what your state can produce though as I have a couple of co-workers that hunt there. They dont even buy Pa. licenses
My hats off to you.
