Blowin like a Banshee
Its blowin hard here this morning. I imagine a lot of you are xperiencing the same. Snow sqalls on and off too. The boat tarp is playin a tune.
Stay warm!!!
Stay warm!!!
Windy here in southern Ohio today, and the temperature is dropping quickly.
Was windy yesterday, but a light jacket was all I needed - not today!
My new wind & water proof - thinsulate insulated coat feels good today.
Tonight it's supposed to drop to around 0°F (-18°C), but gradually warm up over the next few days.
Seems like we have been getting our worst winter weather in late February & early March the past few years.

Same wind here in Ontario too, nothing to do but clean guns and make arrows.. -14 right now.
Did manage to get to the range for a bit this morning, indoor of course.
On a better note, my son shot a 15 shot 2" group this morning at the range, 25 yards, peep sites. Not bad for a 5 year old. I have it all on the camera, I just need to figure out how to get the pictures off the new camera.

Pydpiper, hurry up and figure out how to post pictures ( see the sticky at the top of the page ) Can't wait to see the pictures of your son shooting your bow. I know he had a blast and you did too. If you don't figure it out soon, send me a PM and I'll try and help.
The wind blew a gail here too Tyler and I went fishing and I fought the trolling motor all morning long. No fish but we had fun just floating the creek.
God Bless,

-18 and 40 KPH winds now.. This is just crazy..
Ray, I have a loaner camera from Future Shop while mine is out on repair, they neglected to give me a cord to connect it to my computer.. I'll get one tomorrow.
Today his shooting was done with his rifle, seems that Sunday mornings are turning out to be our competition mornings, a few rounds of bullseye then upstairs for some hardcore checkers... Today some senior members followed him to the range to watch him go.. I always though I had good eyes, he is hitting things I can't even see, repeatedly.
Odd thing is that the better he gets at shooting the less he wants to hunt.. He wants time on the range, not always in the bush.. Still pretty cool though.

I know the feeling. Tyler does the same thing to me. His eyes are much better than mine. He shoots a .243 now but wants to upgrade to a .308 like mine which is an excellent idea. That means that I can hand down my Browning Stalker Carbine to him and buy myself something NEW . Sounds like a plan to me

My personal favorite.. Although I dont possess one right now. I have taken plenty of Deer and Whistle pigs with one. I used to love to handload that cartridge.bstout wrote:The .243 is a fine tuned caliber.
The .243 has attributes that don't exist in other calibers.
Many bench rest folks will attest to this.
