anybody have this problem

Post by bj »

with the sts for excalibur crossbows...the rods that keep the rubbers are too large to fit into the receiver part that attaches to the riser...nice idea, but i couldn't begin to understand why/ or how these even got into the package... looks like a fairly well made unit, a little pricey, but what the heck isn't these days...even if i can't use it, it really does look good in my archery tackle box

I think two other guys had the same thing Wayne. The last three I bought were fine.

One of mine was a tight fit, but a couple taps with a plastic mallet seated it. The other one went in with firm pressure.

i would have to say that the last set i looked at was probably 2 drill bits out in laymans terms...the rod i believe should be 3/8"...it wasn't even close...besides that if you have to drive them in, adjustment of the rods is a labour of love...you'd just have to adjust the string...but, of course if you have them where you want them, that shouldn't be an issue...i opted to replace the rods with the correct length of carbon cable guard (it's 3/8"...the rods supplied were too long anyway, to get the proper brace height...

Wow
I hope I won't have the same problem. They sound and look to good.
But I want them anyway. :)

I just opened my package. The rods went in and out easily.

I'll have to check how it otherwise was machined, but it looks good, anyway.
