Phoenix arrow weight

Post by Mailman »

I have 2213's and 125 broadheads. The bolts are 18" and the combined weight is 394 gr. Is this a good weight or should I use 20" bolts?

That weight should be fine.

It seems that anywhere from around 2.5gr. to 2.8gr. per pound of draw weight seems to be the optimum arrow weight for these bows. This is derived from my own results and from others on this forum whose data I derived from searching the forum and coming up with an average. For my Vixen 2.7 seems to be what it prefers. This only applies to weight, of course, you still have to tune your arrows to taste.
