O/T Having a Ball!!

Post by awshucks »

Got guests. Boo, Grumpy Tom, Xbowking, Smokepolehall are here in Arkansas. I'll let them tell their versions of the stories when they get home, but the short version is: Met 3 of the finest ambassadores your great country has to offer, me and Smoke won an improptu 3-D shoot, I took one shot [1st since 1989]w/ Dons compound at 30 yds and missed the bull by 3". Shoulda quit there as at 20 w/ his recurve I put a hole in the fender of my Atv parked 4' away from target, lol, it [recurves/stick] is NOT like riding a bicycle, lol. more to follow I'm sure!!

I certainly don't want to be caught within 4 yards of a hog!

Wish I were there.

We want to see kill pictures, including the ATV. :)

Lol, there's one in every crowd, and Mike knows it! More to this story than I can work the nerve up to tell. Well, that's not fair, is it? Ok, here ya go. As my Canuck buddies drove up my drive, I was on the phone to Danny. Could not understand why my Emax was giving me weak performance compared to my Phoenix. He said "Emax results were right on, Phoenix was off". Actually, what he said was "You don't have a Phoenix." Well, I said, "bought it from you, says Phoenix on the rail, ect." Danny said, "Got a tape measure?" Felt it slipping right there, lol. To make a long story short, my Phoenix is a mis-labeled Exocet!! "Stuff" happens!! Sooooo, much to my Canadian friends delight, I was [a] in shock delighted their long trek was safely 1/2 over, [c] trying to figure out what the h*ll i was going to do w/ one Ecet, an Emax and another high buck [Y25 LH] Ecet on order. See, life was real simple for a while. I had a great plan. I was going to hunt w/ Phoenix and sell Emax, and use the Y25 Relayer LH for 3-D. I needed a reason to have that special addition, figured the few meaningless extra fps in 3-D would be worth the price. All of a sudden, my whole xbow life got switched around on me! To top all of this off, who do I owe the extra few bucks to, Bill or Danny Miller? What about all the forum guys I gave my experiences to? I know my laughing hilariously buddies from up North are going to blow the whistle on me as soon as they get to their computers, lol, so, I guess I might as well fessup right now. one thing I can tell y'all for certain, that "PhoeniCet" ain't going nowhere, just love the fastest Phoenix in the USA.
