Off Topic: Really neat thinking game.

Post by Rage_A_Holic »

So I stumbled upon a great game about a year ago. I should have posted it then. Alas, i didn't, but recently stumbled upon it again. I can't remember my original score, and second time through I remember a lot of the key parts, so my score was unfairly set.

In this game, you find a package on desk, it apparently contains a bomb, which will detonate in 15 minutes (real time). The game puts you through a series of quick thinking puzzles, and your goal is to complete them in less than 15 minutes. Lets see who can do it, and who cannot!

Remember, there are no instructions, everything is point, and click. these puzzles are meant to make you think "What the heck???" Just click some stuff, things will make sense pretty quick if you are a quick thinker.

HINTS:
- Keep a calculator handy, there is a multiplication question at one point
- Once you pick something up, it goes to your inventory. Click the item icons in your inventory to use them
- Brush up on basic Hexadecimal Colour Codes

The bomb blew up on me the 1st time, but then on the second try I nailed it in under 3 minutes.

Great little puzzle for those in the know of Hollerith code.

Has anyone other than Rage and I tried this game?

If not you should, it really makes you think, and will sharpen your mental processes.

Me too! I didn't see any sort of instructions, so I just sat there frantically trying different combinations as the timer ran down (I tried clicking on everything else that could be clicked, too!) ... no good.

KA-BOOM!

It was ugly ... pieces of Grizz all over the study.

It was late and I was distracted ... but to get blown up without even getting the box open ... made me feel bad.

Send me a PM, Rage!

I know I'm dense, but c'mon!

Did I miss something?

For those of you that need help....

I don't want to spoil it, by saying too much. However, what I can tell you is; to solve it, one has to think logically. However, things are not always straight forward, or as they appear. Being inquisitive, using logical thinking, sometimes in reverse, will help. Look for patterns. Knowledge of how binary code works will also definitely help. Try different approaches and above all, don't give up.

Did you find the missing keys? If so, then you have to place them such that when aligned and ranked with the others, they all have something in common.
