Forgive me but I'm a newbe at all this stuff. I got the STS system in today and installed it. Should the main string be touching the pads? Also what is the little string that came with the system for?
Thanks to all...

Question about the string that came with the STS system
This is the best part of our lives.
The "little strings" are serving matl to extend your center serving so it contacts rubber stops equally across the width of them. I'm not sure if the extension is needed or not, but since "Boo" was at my house and gifted me a STS system, and extended the servings on each side in about 30 seconds, lol, who was I to judge? Fwiw: I strive for a brace height of 1 1/8" and my string contacts the rubber stops at rest. i believe but am not positive that the position of the rods and rubbers is adjustable, so I would first set my brace height, and then secondly adjust them to just touch the string. Boo threw this setup on so fast I couldn't follow him, lol.

It would be nice if they included directions with the STS system. I threw the string away, then later read what it is for in one of Boo's posts.
I haven't bothered to extend the serving on my string yet, but probably will before I do a lot of shooting. I don't think the pads would damage a well waxed string anyway.
I like my brace height at the rear line on the riser (1⅛"), so I installed the system then adjusted the pads with just a tiny gap between the string & pads.
