Boo
in the trading post there is an Excomag with a wood stock that looks pretty sweet. I would but work was slow this winter and need to watch the coin until mid-spring when construction picks up.

If you find two, make it three, I would be interested. Other than my 175# Exocet, I would only consider an Exomag.

I know someone that has one, that's almost like new.

However, the question is whether it's for sale, and that's highly unlikely. On the other hand, everything is for sale, if the price is right.
Do I hear any bids :?:

I'm only teasing :!:

A bit off topic, but I always hear that the Exomag was the best bow that Excalibur made (glad I own one :D ). Exactly what does (did) it offer that the others don't? What makes it better than the current Exocet 200? By the way, I also own a Wolverine, and have owned an Exocet. To me, each has their place. Just curious.

Absolutely nothing, honest! In fact is is useless. You should sell it!
What is different is that the limbs stack or load up much more smoothly than the Exocet 200. The forward limbs on the Exocet 200 stack immediately. If you pull back a decent low stack recurve the first bit of pull is light and smoothly builds up resistance. A bad recurve builds up resistance fast and abruptly when pulling back the string. It is almost irrelevant when cocking a crossbow, especially when using a cocking rope. I would imagine the advantage in a crossbow is that the low stack would be easier on the limbs during normal use and may be a bit easier on the limbs on a dry-fire.

Don you're mistaken, so quit giving away trade secrets.

The "truth" is it's a case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. With the exomag, when those parts were put together it made it the crossbow that it is...... the best .....
