Nice eh? My business is down for the day! No power, no phones, garage door, no customers, no money! I left in disgust and let my 4 guys do what they can with what little they have. I didn't want them to loose a days pay. Today is a very expensive day!

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Boo. It's tough to take a financial hit like that ... hope it doesn't hurt your profits too much!

Hope whoever hit that pole wasn't hurt too bad ... that looks like it was a hard impact!

They'll have it fixed by tomorrow, I guess. Hope you'll have an extra-good Friday! :)

Sorry to hear about your loss.

On a lighter note: That car probably idles roughly now. Needs to have its impact sensor replaced and the front seat needs to be cleaned or a new air filter put in.

Sorry about your troubles Boo. It could have at least happened during hunting season so you could put your day off to good use. Does your shop do body work too?

No, no body work, just mechanical on BMWs. You guys should look under the hood. The engine stopped cold into the bulkhead! A decently designed car would have had an engine that went under the car to absorb some of the impact. One of the difficulties of designing a car with a transverse engine I guess. Air bags or not the driver's body took a good whack. The cops told me he seemed ok but was taken to the hospital. I hope they check his eye sight!

If you had the details (accident report and drivers insurance company contact) could you make a claim against his insurance for loss of income for your business ?

Thanks Thomas. I have the report and will try but my deductible is $5,000.00. The deductible is that high to keep my insurance just below $20.00.00 a year so I won't be making a claim with my insurance.

That shoots a whole day to pieces!! Most likely was coming in for a new tie rod end and brakes! Anyway, not a good way to start YOUR day!l

I saw the accident on the local news this morning - they said the driver had a heart attack, sometime around 4 am.

That would be the one. The copper told me that the driver said he had a seizure. Then he said that he that it would be a good idea to say that. In the 10 years of operation we've had two customers park their car on the street and get hit by other cars. In total I've seen 6 accidents and one of my employees were hit. This is one bad corner!

The belong to customers that parked their cars overnight. Lucky for them the hydro wire didn't fall on them. The rest of the cars are inside the building. We don't work on anything else.
