Hard lesson learned about Magnus Bullhead and The Guillotine

Post by kg6mta »

Tried both broadheads and learned the following: 1) Bench fire you arrows to find the most accurate one. This you will need for the ADS Guillotine. 2) To use the Bullhead you will have to create an arrow from scratch to get the flecthing to line up with the blades of the bullhead, if they are not lined up exactly it will not fly right. 3) The Guillotie uses double sided tape to hold the straws on. Make sure all blades are even. Two tests showed that it hits within half inch at 20 yards.

I am using the 100 gr version of each. Out of the package the Guillotine workd like a champ. Did learn the hard way that if you are going to use the same blades again, clean off any tape residue from the privious flight. Made the mistake of not cleaning off two blades completely and the second shot was way off by 4 inchs at 20 yrds.

Am planning on getting a blank bolt and make an arrow just for the bullheads. Will post results when tested.

Happy hunting to all.
