In the right place at the right time ...

Post by R.J. »

Morning of April 21st ...

Out and about ... started early in the a.m. along the river ..... saw a couple of deer ... the usual photo opportunity ... got one frame before they scooted into the bush ...

Image

Later ... farther down the river trail I come apon a deer swimming across the river ... not your every day photo opportunity ! ... I got 3 frames before it disapeared into the cover on the other side ... the geese casually look on as if they have seen this many times before ...

The sun is climbing high in the sky around 11:30 when I see this skunk poking around in the grass for a meal of grubs or other insects ...

Image

I get within a few feet when he hears something and stares me down ...

Image

I back off and eventually get a frame of him foraging along the drainage ditch bank while some nearby nesting geese keep an eye on him ...

Image

In the right place at the right time .... cool to get some animal interaction shots !
