Aluminum arrow building question

Post by shafferm »

I am working on building a dozen new arrows from Easton 2216 aluminum shafts. I am using the Easton aluminum inserts on the front but cannot seem to find the black plastic looking threaded inserts for the back. Excalibur's website makes a reference to CAP inserts for the back end, but searching for that didn't turn up anything online. Does anyone know where I can buy the threaded plastic looking flat nocks?

Thanks in advance,

If you are looking to cut down the weight of the rear insert, you can cut a 2116 aluminum insert in half for the rear.

Another option is to use graphite inserts for a 2216 arrow.

Rich,

Do you have a link to a place where I can buy the graphite inserts?

Shafferm,

I picked mine up at my local bow shop. The competition vert shooters use them for minimum arrow weight. I will stop there tomorrow and see if he has any and let you know.
