One more arrow question

Post by colonel62 »

I have one last thing to ask you guys before I order these arrow parts.
I emailed GT and the knocks weigh in at 20.2 grains. They also said the brass inserts are 110 grains. I found another store that says they have the 90 grain brass inserts.

Total grain with the 110 grain brass insert = 406.2 gr FOC = 20.5%
Total grain with the 90 grain brass insert = 386.2 gr FOC = 19.08%

Am I gonna be able to tell the difference between a FOC of 20.5 and 19.08?
I was thinking if I can actually get the 90 grain insert that cutting off 20 grains would give me a couple more feet per sec. I know a lot of people on here like the higher FOC.... but if I cant tell the difference shooting it then I think I would rather have a couple more fps.
What are yalls opinions....

No, you will absolutely not notice the difference in the FOC if all the arrows are the same.
You are splitting hairs, and I for one appreciate that, I can split a hair in 18 sections. :D

Take the plunge Colonel, they will shoot great. In fact you will be amazed how accurate they are.
