MADMAX2 congrats. Here a few links I used when learning how to mount the fan.

If you are going to use the 2 part epoxy to finish the base, don't blow your brains out getting absolutely every bit of meat and fat off. The borax will dry it up nice and the epoxy will seal it for good.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!

MADMAX . . ."lust shot" . . . is that something you do in your sleep?

I like the mount!

mount

Post by dutchhunter »

I checked out the links but i think they are over doing it i cut of the popes nose the round nub that holds the tail to the body u can feel it . then clean as much meat and fat away as possibel withut separating the feathers then i rub with table salt .then i place the fan nice side down on a flat board and spread it out hold in place with push pins or even stapels cover with more salt let dry . i like to leave them dry for a full weekon the board when u remove it from the boardit will be stiff and should be very well cured .good luck .

MADMAX2 . . .I knew that, just messing with you a little. After giving it some thought, most of my shots are lust shots. I love this stuff.
