First wife´s shot gone BAD.

Post by gad »

My fault, my own fault !

Forgot to say for the wife to keep the eye a little far from the scope !
I was behind her just to see if my exocet 175 she was shooting was
"at least" in line with the target, to avoid a hit on the wall.

She was scared, and with a little punch over her right eye.

Ouch !

edited: she HIT the middle of the target !

Well, if it was your "first wife" I wouldn't be too concerned. Now, if it's your "wifes first" then I can see your concern.

My cousin came by one evening, he wanted to shoot my bow, he took a couple shots and came in the house with blood running down his face. Said he never felt it, but I can't see how he couldn't have, it looked like it hurt!

I hope your wife doesn't get discouraged, it is a common mistake for people and not one we often do twice. Good luck getting her back out there, shooting with your better half has rewards of it's own.
I am glad she is OK. :D

 Same thing happened to my wife, she had never heard of eye relief and I forgot to position her behind the scope. It did not leave a mark, too bad it could have saved on eye shadow. ( just kidding, ) It was just a Vixen.

:( At least is was a x bow and not a heavy recoiling firearm.
She should be able to (as my father used to hollar at me from the bleechers at sporting events) Shake it off.

After the pain is gone she'll know what "eye relief" is.

Hope it doesn't turn her off the sport.

Based on the furious reaction, I doubt it will take more than 1 or 2 years to bring she back to shoot with me.

But she is fine now... 8)
